 Download Calculator has been disabled in the Phoenix Calculator utility.
 Echelon & Echelon FTP have not been included in this edition.

 System Tools in the browser are not available.
 Two of five panes in the Multi-Pane browsing application work.
 Several other small features have been disabled or limited.

--> New in This Update-Phoenix Professional 5.31a
Especially for the Trial Edition, this update is a monumental leap. You can now customize the default home page each browser goes to, as well as My Folder, a link on the Local System Menu that you can use to point to any folder, file, or location on the Internet. Additionally, Favorites have been added in limited capacity, and other interface updates have been included.

--> Version Update History-Phoenix Professional 5.2a
Phoenix Professional 5.2a corrects several minor interface erros, and changes the Status Monitor from colored balls to more meaningful colored text, labeled B1 for Browser One, and S1 for Sub-Browser 1, etc. Additionally, Phoenix Update has been changed to be even more automated. In the future you will not have to download the entire installation program again, but rather just the components that have been updated.

--> Version Update History-Phoenix Professional 5.1
Phoenix Professional 5.1 contains a great deal of updates!
 Echelelon FTP: A new addition to our list of included applications, Echelon FTP allows you to easily manage your FTP connection and Internet files without ever leaving the venerated Phoenix interface. The next step up from Echelon 1.0 (also included for local file management)
 Phoenix Calculator: Another new application, Phoenix Calculator includes both basic mathematical functions and a special download calculator that makes it easy to determine how long a file will take to load onto your computer!
 Phoenix Tour: Helping you to learn your way around the interface, the Tour guides you through basic features and gets you started with your web browsing experience. Designed for ease-of-use and familiarity!
 Startup System: The loading screen has been redesigned to offer you easier access to the various features and applications of Phoenix Professional. Instead of using radio buttons, the startup screen now utilizes a drop-down menu system, making for quick launches.
 Multitasking: Phoenix now allows you to open multiple applications at once directly from the Phoenix menu in any of its applications.
 Phoenix Update: Mirroring Microsoft's Windows Update Phoenix Update tells you if you have the latest version of the browser, and allows you to upgrade if you don't.
--> Version Update History-Phoenix Professional 5.0
 Phoenix Status Monitor: One of the most important updates to this latest version, the Status Monitor shows you exactly what all browsers (in Multi-pane mode) are doing at all times, without even having to switch to their tabs. The monitor is on the browser itself, toward the top. It functions much like the logo animation in Internet Explorer or Netscape, save for the fact that this one tells you something. There is a row of five balls (one for each browser). Initially, when you are not going anywhere, they are all gray. However, as you start navigating, they will tell you exactly what each browser is doing-- if the ball turns red, the indicated browser is searching for the server you requested; if the ball turns green, the specified browser has found the server you requested, and is waiting for a reply; if the ball is blue, the browser is downloading data (web pages or files), and has located your server. This provides you, the user, with a quick and easy way to see what happened to that site you tried to connect to in Sub-Browser Two. Check out the screenshots further on down...
 Interface, Interface, Interface: The second most worked-on area of this update is the user interface. We figure even if you have a wonderful web browser, if it looks bad, no one is going to want to touch it with a nine-foot mouse cord. Therefore, we have worked hard to make the interface attractive, bright, and sleek. The toolbars along the top have the pleasant mouse-over effect, as opposed to plain buttons, and all the icons we used were picked for their attractive colors, and unique contribution to the overall look. Screenshots below will help you see this...
 Help!: The help system has been updated to make it more convenient to find what you want. Instead of having a separate help window for each type of resource, there is one single one, with a tabbed interface that allows you to select your topic without leaving the help system. A screenshot of the new help window is pictured below...
 Tools: Even more tools have been added this time around, allowing you to view your History (where you have been in the last day, week, two weeks, three weeks, etc.), open files in Phoenix, manage your control panel, and much more without ever leaving the interface.
 Echelon: The new file/FTP manager from Smoke Zone has been bundled with Phoenix Pro V for quick, easy file management. Drag-and-drop operations have never been easier.
 Our Colorful New Logo: Yes, well, not that many of you would care, but hey, seeing a nice wooded forest area sure beats some cheesy 16-color pixilated bitmap, doesn't it?
